阁
1、(形声。从门,各声。本义:古代放在门上用来防止门自合的长木桩)。
2、门限。
閣,所止扉也。门开则旁有两长橜杆辂之,止其自阖也。---《说文》
高其闬阁。---《左传》。
所以止扉谓之阁。---《尔雅》。郝懿行疏:“此阁以长木为之,各施于门扇两旁,以止其走扇。”
3、一种架空的小楼房,中国传统建筑物的一种。其特点是通常四周设隔扇或栏杆回廊,供远眺、游憩、藏书和供佛之用。
