1、(形声。从手,昔声。本义:放置,安放)。
2、同本义。
措,置也。---《说文》。
则民无所措手足。---《论语·子路》
学之弗能,弗措也。---《礼记·中庸》。疏:“学不至于能,不措置休废也。”
几致刑措。---《汉书·文帝纪》。师古曰:“措,置也。民不犯法,无所刑也。”

措手不迭：形容做事迅速敏捷。
