1、(形声。从土,亶(dǎn)声。本义:土筑的高台,用于祭祀、会盟等)。
2、同本义。
坛,祭坛场也。---《说文》。除地曰场,曰墠,于墠筑土曰坛。坛无不墠,而墠有不坛。
为三坛同墠。---《书·金縢》。马注:“坛,土堂也。”
