1、(形声。从水,争声。本义:春秋时鲁国北城门“争门”的护城河)。
2、同本义。
净,鲁北城门池也。---《说文》。按,北城之门曰净门,当因池水名净而命也。公羊传所谓鹿门、争门、吏门,盖以争为之。
3、清洁,洁净。亦用于形容抽象事物。亦指明净。
