1、(形声。从象,予声。本义:大象)。

豫,象之大者。---《说文》
豫焉若冬涉川。---《老子》。范应元注:“豫,象属。”
3、地名。豫州,古九州之一 。其地包括今河南省和湖北省北部。
指通豫南。---《列子·汤问》
4、今河南省的简称 。因古为豫州地而得名。
